How much does it cost to sponsor a zip code?
Zip Codes may be sponsored for just about any dollar amount. There are some zip codes in the US that only have a few residential homes and can be sponsored for less than $20 dollars. In larger cities, like New York, Boston, or LA, a sponsor could spend $15 to $20 thousand dollars per zip code. The United States has approximately 44 thousand zip codes. There are thousands of zip code sizes in between.
Go to the ‘Donate’ page, choose, ‘Sponsor a zip Code‘, Once on that page you can look up areas of the country you may be interested in to see their residential numbers and pricing. You may also have loved ones in specific areas of the country and feel led to sponsor homes in that area.
Currently, we do not offer partial zip code sponsorships. If you are unable to sponsor a full zip code, we do offer individual mailings of messages. You are welcome to email us at email@example.com and request that one mailing is sent to your loved one or to someone you would like to share the gospel free of charge. If you are in person at the Cross America Community Center, simply fill out a white card located at the prayer request wall along the east side of the Cross Assembly room. Drop it in the slot and we will mail the message out for you.
**Note: Please do not attempt to send these messages out with normal postage. Due to their size and bulk mailing status, the cost is much higher than a normally priced stamp. The message will be returned. We ask that you not remove the message from the building. Crosses can be purchased individually.
Can anyone use your facility?
The Cross America Community Center is open to everyone in our community. Cross America is an unapologetically Christian-based ministry that is governed by a board of directors and a Statement of Faith. Everyone who rents or schedules a room in our building must sign and agree to our statement of faith. We welcome everyone through our doors!
How does your meeting space work?
Cross America uses scheduling software for all rooms and events. Our administrative assistant makes all reservations and assigns rooms according to each group’s needs. A large TV board is located just inside our front West entrance, and all daily reservations are shown on that screen along with where groups are located in the building for each reservation. We ask that all groups needing a private room make reservations as far in advance as possible.
A donation is requested for use of each conference room space. A separate rental process is in place for any event that is considered a party, wedding, birthday, etc. Pick up a copy of our facility rental sheet from our administrative assistant at the Welcome Center down the main hallway of Cross America. All monies received from room donations or event rentals go directly back into our ministry to buy more crosses and salvation messages for the Cross America ministry. What is the cost to purchase an aluminum cross?
We are fortunate to buy our aluminum crosses locally. We can ship small and large quantities of crosses with the pricing guide below with shipping added on top. We use UPS and estimate shipping through their website with the address given. Crosses may also be purchased directly from Cross America at the Doubting Thomas café, located inside Cross America.

How will you send out the Crosses?
We will use the U.S. Post Office Every Door Direct program that covers every residential stop that the mail delivery persons make.
What hours are you open?
Our facility is open 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm. Doubting Thomas Coffee & Café is open from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The entire facility is closed on Sundays and most major holidays.
How and when can I volunteer?
You can stop by during open hours, grab a coffee at the Doubting ThomasCoffee & Cafe’, and package crosses with friends or as a time of relaxation by yourself. Volunteers are welcome any time our doors are open!
How many homes are in the United States?
There are approximately 114 million residential homes in America.
What type of impact do you expect to make?
We are hoping for a 1% success rate We realize that not everyone who receives a cross will make an immediate life-changing decision. However, it is our hope that for every 100 crosses sent, 1 person’s life will be affected, and their eternal home or address will be changed. This result may be from someone who was waiting for a sign from God and the next day a cross and message arrive in their mailbox. We believe God will help guide and direct the zip codes that are chosen for this purpose. The impact may also come from someone who puts the cross in their pocket and at a later date reaches for that cross when the struggles of life close in on them. This cross and message may cause them to ask a co-worker or friend more questions about their faith, which opens the door for a deeper discussion.
How are you funded?
When Cross America opened in 2018, a group of donors offered to donate all of the overhead and administration costs annually. This means all staff costs, utilities, insurance, repairs, etc. are paid without using any funds given by the general public.
In order to cover the cost of the pocket crosses, envelopes, and postage, we rely on donations from the general public. This will allow 100% of every dollar given to go directly to cover these costs. See our donation page for more details on donating!
What about the homeless?
Our mission is to reach every home in America with the Gospel, but it is also our goal to reach the homeless.
