We have negotiated and purchased the aluminum crosses in large quantities (approx. 400,000 per order) to ensure we keep the cost per mailing as low as possible. Currently, each cross costs $0.109 each. For rounding purposes, we use $0.11 each. If we apply an average investment return of 7%, then for every $1.58 donated to the Perpetual Fund, we can purchase 1 cross per year, every year. Below are examples of how even a small donation can have an amazing impact on this ministry.
This fund will allow Cross America to operate perpetually until the mission statement is completed. The financial plan for this fund consists of placing all amounts into investments that are safe and have reliable returns. The net proceeds from these returns will be used to fund Cross America forever. The mission is currently projected to take 50+ years to complete. At completion there will be a new generation born. The funds will be used to start over again. Your donation to this fund will literally have an impact on eternity for so many. The goal is to have the fund fully funded within 21 years. Personalized stickers can be created in their honor which are used to seal every salvation message with a cross that is mailed out to the zip code you choose. If the amount needed to sponsor the zip code is more than the available funds you have, we have Angel Sponsors who donate funds to help finish the zip code in your loved one’s name. [ Memorial stickers are a separate cost incurred by the donor.]
The mission of Cross America will take several decades to complete, and it’s larger than any one person or persons. It will take a multitude of committed Christians to accomplish this mission. To be good stewards of this mission, the Holy Spirit has guided us to set up a Perpetual Fund. This fund will not only bless the giver, but it will also be used to fund the annual operations perpetually forever. Whether you donate to the Perpetual Fund in honor of your loved one or donate personally, you will be giving the gift of allowing this mission to be perpetuated for many years. Your gift literally means that crosses and salvation messages are sent out every year, or until Jesus returns. The money donated to the Perpetual Fund is placed into safe, protected investments as directed by the Statement of Investment policy. The earnings or interest from these investments are used to fund the operations annually, allowing the mission to be perpetual.
