Silvia Ellen Stutzman, 87, of Inman, Kansas, went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ, on January 19, 2024, at Pleasantview Nursing Home, Inman, KS. She was born January 24, 1936 in Kokomo, Indiana, to David and Millie (Anderson) Hostetler.
On July 24, 1955, She married Levi Perry Stutzman, in Kokomo, Indiana. They shared 68 years of marriage together.
Silvia was an owner and operator of Stutzman Refuse alongside her husband, Perry. She was a member of Journey Mennonite Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, embroidery, and cooking. But her greatest joy came from her family.
Silvia is survived by: husband, Perry, Inman; son, John (Diane) Stutzman, Hutchinson; daughter, Debbie (Todd) Murray, Buhler; daughter-in-law, Connie, Hutchinson; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Betty Beachy, Kokomo, IN, Lloyd Hostetler, Kokomo, IN, Virginia Wenger, Goshen, IN, Amos Hostetler, and Kathy Hostetler, Kokomo, IN.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Darrell Stutzman; and two sisters, Mary Ann and Sarah.
Funeral service will be 11 AM Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Journey Mennonite Church, South Hutchinson, Kansas. A private family graveside will be held in Yoder Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 AM to 3 PM Monday at Elliot Mortuary and from 6 to 8 PM with family present at Journey.
