Memorial donations made in honor of Zachary's life to the Perpetual Fund will pay for 161 crosses that will be sent out every year forever. 

The sticker below will be used to seal the cards that will contain a cross and salvation message. These cards will be mailed out every year in honor of Zachary because of loved ones who have donated on his behalf.

 

Zachary's Story

Zachary Ryan Baker, 19, Spring, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at his home.  He was born Oct. 28, 1998, in Indianapolis, to Terry and Sherri (Lawrence) Baker.  Zachary graduated in 2017 with honors from Seven Lakes High School in Katy, Texas and attended Stephen F. Austin University and Lone Star Community College.  He played varsity football during high school at Seven Lakes, was a member of Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy, Texas and was involved with serving and volunteering for several different agencies.  He loved animals and nature and especially loved his family.  Survivors include his father of Spring, Texas; his brother, Cole Baker, Spring, Texas; grandparents John and Carlene Lawrence, Kokomo, Indiana; uncles and aunt, Matt (Katie Lukes) Lawrence, Westfield, Indiana, and William Baker, Florida; cousins, Jack, James and Annika Lawrence, Westfield, Indiana; and several great-aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother; great-grandparents Glen and Helen Lawrence and Dale and Miriam Smith; and grandparents, William F. Baker and Mary Maynard.  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018, at First Baptist Church, 310 W. Taylor St., Kokomo, Indiana with Pastor Matt Hartke officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Zachary's memory to the Kokomo Humane Society or Cross America, www.crossamerica.net.  In keeping with his loving and generous spirit, Zachary made the decision to be an organ donor so that others may live.  Messages of condolence may be left online at http://www.stoutandson.com.  Stout & Son Funeral Home, Russiaville, Indiana, has been entrusted with arrangements.  A memorial service will be held at a later date in Texas.
